Saint Olaf, Patron of Norway, Catholic Church is proud to offer the Soli Deo Gloria Music Award of $500 to local area music students in their sophomore, junior or senior year of high school or first year of college. Number of awards will be based on donations received. The great composer and church musician, Johann Sebastian Bach, would sign his pieces with the words “Soli Deo Gloria” or “for the glory of God”. This award will go to students who showcase a passion for music in different disciplines (performance or composition) and want to continue to pursue that passion.
